Private text to speech — for text you'd rather not send to a server at all

Most text-to-speech tools are private in the sense that they promise not to misuse your data. This one is private in a stricter sense: your text never reaches a server in the first place, because there isn't one in the path.

The difference between a privacy policy and a privacy architecture

A typical cloud TTS tool sends your text to a server, generates audio there, and sends the audio back — even if their privacy policy says they don't store or read it, the text still has to leave your device to be processed. That's a policy promise. HearYourDocs runs the entire voice engine, plus PDF and DOCX text extraction, as WebAssembly directly in your browser tab — there's no server call in that path to make a promise about.

What actually happens when you use it

The one exception, and why it's harmless Loading the page itself pulls fonts, the voice engine, and analytics from a handful of public CDNs and Google Analytics — like any website, that exposes your IP address to those providers in the normal way a web request does.
